Spring is still a ways off, but if you like to plan ahead for Major League Baseball spring training, I’ve got the Atlanta Braves 2018 spring training schedule that is being announced today and there are some marquee games you definitely don’t want to miss.
For starters, the World Series champion Houston Astros will play the Braves this spring at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort on March 8. For some of the players, it will be a return visit after celebrating their first-ever World Series title here with a parade at Magic Kingdom Park earlier this month.
Other can’t-miss games include clashes with the New York Yankees (March 9 and 24), Washington Nationals (February 26 and March 1), which both reached the postseason this past season. In all, the Braves will play 18 home games at Disney, its spring training home since 1997.
Disney character appearances and special moments such as kids running the bases after every game are just some of the many in-game entertainment opportunities that make Braves spring training at Disney a grand slam.
Spring training game tickets go on sale Dec. 11 at www.espnwwos.com/braves, through Ticketmaster outlets 800-745-3000 and at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex Box Office.
