On August 31, guests filled Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, and the Downtown Disney District, eager to enjoy their holiday weekend amidst the Halloween festivities. From spooky decorations and Jack O’Lanterns to the popular Haunted Mansion Holiday, the stage was set for a perfect day. However, festivities were abruptly halted just before 11 p.m., when Adventureland was evacuated by police and Disneyland security.
Eyewitnesses and social media posts revealed chaotic scenes as an unruly guest was taken to the ground and arrested. According to reports, this individual had caused a disturbance earlier in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, throwing profanities and sexually explicit phrases. The individual was not alone, as videos showed a woman also being escorted out of the park under heavy security.
Regretfully, this is not an isolated incident. Theme parks can occasionally attract troublemakers, and Disneyland is no exception. Previous examples include the arrest of a corrections officer for allegedly assaulting his family at Walt Disney World and a drunken altercation at Disneyland earlier this year. For the safety of everyone, it’s essential to alert a cast member if you witness dangerous behavior—Disney has zero tolerance for such acts.
