Just like the other Disney parks around the globe, Disneyland Resort is packed with secrets many park-goers might overlook. Recently, some lucky folks had the rare opportunity to tour Sleeping Beauty Castle alongside some iconic Disney personalities.
The celebration of Disney Princesses was in full swing as we kicked off the day exploring a treasure trove of princess merchandise available both online and in stores. Who could resist the allure of those enchanting LEGO sets themed after our favorite princesses? And for collectors, the Disney Collector Dolls were a must-see. From a gigantic Rapunzel doll to detailed playsets and elegant princess outfits, there was something for every fan.
As exciting as the merchandise was, the real highlight came when we encountered some legends in the Disney Princess world. We got to see—and even interact with—Jodi Benson (Ariel), Paige O’Hara (Belle), Linda Larkin (Jasmine), and Anika Noni Rose (Tiana). But the magic didn’t stop there! The next day, we were treated to an exclusive tour of the magnificent Sleeping Beauty Castle.
Many visitors might not realize that this iconic landmark houses the Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough, an attraction that offers a mesmerizing journey through the story of Princess Aurora using intricate 3D dioramas, special effects, and sound. It’s an enchanting experience that immerses guests in the timeless tale in a truly unique way.
For those eager to uncover these wonders, the walkthrough is typically open daily, although it might close temporarily during evening fireworks. You’ll easily spot the entrance on the west side of the castle in Fantasyland, marked by an open storybook narrating Princess Aurora’s birth. It’s a delightful experience you won’t want to miss on your next visit.
