Nestled just a stone’s throw from Disneyland, the Candy Cane Inn has long been a cherished choice for visitors. After a prolonged closure for post-COVID renovations, the beloved 171-room hotel has reopened with a fresh, vibrant look while preserving some of its beloved amenities.
Adjacent to the excitement of Disney California Adventure, this family-owned boutique hotel stands on Harbor Boulevard near the corner of Katella Avenue. Fascinatingly, you can even catch glimpses of the iconic Cadillac Mountain Range from its grounds.
The rooms at the Candy Cane Inn have received a significant makeover. I stayed in a Standard Room offering two queen beds within its 264 square-foot space. Options also include Deluxe Rooms at 308 square feet, and Premium Rooms at 350 square feet, which elevate the experience with upgraded amenities, turn down service, and even in-room breakfast.
The inn has kept its signature charm, with plantation-style shutters complemented by new flooring and delightful Mickey Mouse-themed throw rugs that add a sprinkle of Disney magic. The split bathroom design includes luxurious toiletries, generous countertop space, and a whimsical touch like the floral mural and a seal on the toilet paper.
Beyond the cozy rooms, the hotel’s amenities are plentiful: a pool area including a hot tub and wading pool, complimentary parking, an expanded continental breakfast, and a convenient free shuttle service to Disneyland. It’s a perfectly placed haven paired with exceptional service.
