The beloved Radiator Springs Racers at Disney California Adventure Park, located within Disneyland Resort, has recently found itself under the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. Visitors have raised concerns about the ride’s frequent malfunctions and maintenance problems, alleging that these issues have persisted despite regular upkeep.

Modeled after EPCOT’s Chevrolet Test Track, Radiator Springs Racers transports guests into the adrenaline-filled world of Pixar’s *Cars*. While its blend of advanced animatronics and special effects makes it a fan favorite, many have reported noticeable glitches. Redditor u/mslaurasaurus shared a troubling experience, stating, “We were stuck on Radiator Springs Racers for almost an hour today. It wasn’t just that it kept stopping, it’s that when it got back moving, all the elements were glitching.”

These technical issues aren’t isolated incidents. Several guests have taken to social media to recount their own mishaps. User u/918_Atom commented, “I was there [Wednesday] and it seemed to be having issues all day too.” Meanwhile, another user, u/Several-Tear-8297, mentioned the ride shutting down repeatedly right after its maintenance period.

Radiator Springs Racers has had its share of challenges, including a temporary closure in 2022 due to a fire. Despite repairs, the problems seem to persist, leaving many guests disappointed and calling for a major refurbishment. One user remarked, “This ride is 12 years old and it’s in a dire need of a major refurb to get it back like new.”

As one of the main attractions in Cars Land, Radiator Springs Racers consistently draws crowds, often resulting in long wait times. For those looking to avoid lengthy queues, a Lightning Lane Single Pass or the single-rider line can be a saver.
