A delightful new mural featuring Ursus H. Bear has been unveiled at the Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree in Disneyland. This whimsical and reimagined version of the Hungry Bear Restaurant now boasts a vibrant mural that adds a splash of character and charm to the venue, which is set to open soon.
Peeking out from beneath the fabric awnings and twinkling string lights, the mural depicts Ursus H. Bear, the founder of the Country Bear Jamboree, donning a chef’s hat instead of his signature top hat. With the years 1848 and 1928 flanking his image, the mural celebrates a historical nod to this beloved character’s culinary journey.
The mural’s details shine through with white filigree accents framing the portrait, and the titles “Ursus H. Bear” and “Grr-Ill Master” encapsulating his dual legacies. This exciting update comes alongside the recent installation of the Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree sign, enhancing anticipation for the soon-to-reopen restaurant.
Interestingly, the Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree renovation coincides with the launch of the new Country Bear Musical Jamboree at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, where fans can enjoy country renditions of favorite Disney tunes. Additionally, those visiting Disney California Adventure can spot the newly installed Big Al statue, adding to the Country Bear excitement across the parks.
With these thrilling changes, Disneyland is also transforming Critter Country into Bayou Country to make way for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. As part of the transformation, The Briar Patch and parts of Pooh Corner are being reimagined into “The Princess and the Frog”-themed gift shops, ushering in a new era of enchantment.
