Halloween time is a magical season at Disneyland Resort, and one of the best ways to indulge in the festivities is by savoring the delicious seasonal treats. Recently, I reunited with my long-time friend Louella Laureola, and we decided to treat ourselves to the Halloween goodies at the Jolly Holiday Bakery Café on Main Street, U.S.A.
We initially tried the Mobile Order service, but faced a 90-minute wait. Instead, we decided to wait in line, which turned out to be a great decision. The line moved quickly and allowed us to admire the treats before making our choices.
We settled on four new seasonal items: the Caramel Apple Cheesecake, Jack-O’-Lantern Mickey Pumpkin Macaron, Spiced Bundt Cake, and the Apple Almond Croissant. The Caramel Apple Cheesecake, priced at $7.29, was delightfully sweet with a caramelized apple filling. Louella, a caramel enthusiast, reveled in its sugary goodness though we did wish for more apple flavoring.
Next, the $8.29 Jack-O’-Lantern Mickey Pumpkin Macaron charmed us with its festive look. Though overwhelmingly sweet, it had a pleasant crunchy texture and a delicious pumpkin cheesecake filling that left us craving more.
However, the $6.79 Spiced Bundt Cake didn’t quite hit the high notes. Despite the cream cheese frosting and colorful sprinkles, the cake itself was disappointingly dry and failed to impress.
Our star pick was the $8.29 Apple Almond Croissant—warm, flaky, and stuffed with tasty apple goodness. It was the perfect autumn delight, especially recommended with a cup of coffee for a complete experience.
As a bonus, we even got to sample a Pumpkin Spice Fritter from the Royal Street Verandah, thanks to a friend. Simple yet delightful, it showcased how sometimes less is more.
