Even though the weather in Anaheim promises to stay warm with temperatures soaring into the mid-80s over the next week, Disneyland guests are already feeling a chill in the air. Why, you ask? Because Halloween Time has officially arrived at the Happiest Place on Earth!
As of August 23, Disneyland has transformed into a spooktacular wonderland with carved pumpkins dotting Main Street, a haunted hootenanny taking over Cars Land, and Mickey and Minnie donning their finest Halloween attire. One of the most anticipated attractions, The Haunted Mansion, is back from its extensive January renovation. It’s been given a delightful Nightmare Before Christmas twist and now features a new “virtual queue” system, ensuring a smoother experience for all who dare to enter.
But it’s not just the spooky decorations and revamped rides causing a buzz. Halloween Time also ushers in a bewitching array of seasonal culinary delights. Food enthusiasts have much to be excited about this year, with creations like the Caramel Apple Cold Brew at Café Daisy and the Fantasyland Garlic Cheesy Brat. However, the dish that’s causing the most chatter (and a bit of confusion) is the Blueberry Corn Dog from the Little Red Wagon. Love it or leave it, you can’t say Disney isn’t keeping things interesting!
This season’s beverage offerings promise to be equally enchanting, boasting Disney’s ever-popular Glow Cubes. These reusable plastic ice cubes come in festive shapes like a Mickey-shaped Pumpkin, Kuzko’s Poison Bottle from The Emperor’s New Groove, and a Poisoned Apple, adding a magical glow to drinks across the park. Sip on a Pumpkin Mule at Goofy’s Kitchen or refresh with an Açai Blueberry Smoothie at Galactic Grill, among other themed concoctions.
Halloween Time at Disneyland is running from August 23 through October 31, so make sure to catch all the chills and thrills. Here’s a quick look at some of the standout rides and attractions:
