There’s always something intriguing happening at Walt Disney World Resort, and this latest incident is no exception. A guest at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort recently threatened to barricade themselves in their hotel room due to Disney’s mandatory security check policy.
For those unfamiliar, Disney’s policy ensures that cast members will enter your room daily for a security check, even if “Mousekeeping” services are declined. This measure was implemented following the 2017 Las Vegas shooting. The policy aims to ensure guest safety, with cast members simply knocking on the door and inspecting the room without disturbing personal belongings.
Despite its safety intentions, some guests remain unaware and apprehensive about the policy. One guest, “Stacy,” recounted by former Disney cast member Kelsey Conkling on TikTok, demanded no one enter her family’s room, sparking a confrontation. Stacy was adamant that someone had intruded as things had been moved, even though the only change was the removal of trash.
The exchange highlights a recurring debate among Disney fans. Some argue the room checks violate their privacy, while others appreciate the extra layer of security. A few even shared heartwarming Mousekeeping stories in response, showcasing the delightful experiences that often accompany Disney vacations.
We’d love to hear your thoughts on this topic! Do you think the mandatory room checks are a necessary security measure, or do they infringe on your privacy? Share your perspective in the comments below and join the conversation.
