Get ready to let your hair down, Disney fans! The enchanting world of “Tangled” is set to weave its magic into Disneyland, inspired by the newly unveiled Rapunzel’s Forest at Tokyo DisneySea. This first-of-its-kind land offers a tantalizing look at what could be part of the upcoming DisneylandForward expansion, which has been greenlit by the Anaheim City Council as part of a visionary long-term plan for the resort district.
Scheduled to make waves on June 6, Tokyo DisneySea’s Rapunzel’s Forest will be a charming addition to the new Fantasy Springs port that also features Frozen Kingdom and Peter Pan’s Never Land. Imagine stepping through an archway surrounded by rockwork showcasing beloved characters Rapunzel, Anna, Elsa, and Peter Pan, embarking on a journey filled with wonder and nostalgia.
Central to Rapunzel’s Forest is the romantic Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival attraction. Visitors will find themselves on a whimsical gondola ride, following Rapunzel as she escapes her tower, teams up with Flynn Rider, and explores the magical Kingdom of Corona. The attraction’s crowning moment comes as guests drift beneath a swirling sky of floating lanterns while Rapunzel and Flynn sing the enchanting duet “I See the Light.”
But that’s not all! The new land also includes the Snuggly Duckling, a counter-service restaurant built around a massive tree right out of the ruffian-filled tavern from the movie. Foodies will be delighted by themed offerings like the “Sweet Ever After Dessert,” served in a frying pan, much like Rapunzel’s trusty weapon.
And for those looking to bring a piece of the magic home, the Fantasy Springs Gifts shop will be a treasure trove of merchandise inspired by Tangled, Frozen, and Peter Pan, situated in the opulent Fantasy Springs Hotel. Directly attached to the themed port, this hotel features interiors inspired by Disney Princesses and comes in two luxurious wings: the Fantasy Chateau deluxe wing and the Grand Chateau luxury wing.
As Disneyland sets its gaze on these possible expansion projects, we can’t help but feel the excitement build. What do you think about this hair-raising addition to DisneylandForward?
