Fresh off the excitement of the D23 Expo, Disneyland Resort has a bevy of new projects ready to delight guests. Top of the list is an incredible Avatar Land set to dazzle Disney California Adventure with an immersive new river adventure. This cutting-edge attraction will combine motion-base vehicles and high-definition projections, much like Shanghai Disneyland’s Pirates of the Caribbean. The Hollywood Pictures section will house this massive expansion, taking over a significant tram loading area and rerouting the Monorail. Yet, the hyper-realistic Marvel adventures might still have a place in the adjacent Hyperion Theater.

We’re also bracing for an influx of magic with the introduction of a heartwarming Coco boat ride. Set to occupy space behind the Incredicoaster, this family-friendly adventure will transport guests into the Land of the Dead, showcasing Disney’s knack for combining music and storytelling in a seamless attraction.

Avengers Campus is also slated for some hefty upgrades with not one but two new rides on the horizon. Fans can look forward to the King Thanos attraction “Avengers: Infinity Defense,” which promises a motion-base vehicle experience, along with “Stark Flight Lab,” a Kuka Arm simulator experience featuring innovative load/unload systems to increase capacity.

As guests eagerly await these futuristic updates, spooky season has arrived early! Halloween Time begins this Friday, August 23, running all the way through October 31. From Mickey’s giant pumpkin to frontier-themed decorations, both Disneyland and California Adventure are spruced and spooked with Halloween spirit.

In anticipation of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opening on November 15, Critter Country is undergoing significant transformations. The area, soon to be known as “Bayou Country,” is being reimagined with rebranded eateries and shops. After a hiatus, the path from Critter Country through New Orleans Square to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is now open, rekindling our excitement for Disney’s endless innovation.
