Get ready, Disney fans! August 19th promises to be a monumental day at Disneyland Park with several exciting reopenings just around the corner. During D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, we were thrilled to learn that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is set to open on November 15th, 2024. But the excitement isn’t waiting until then—some beloved locations will welcome guests back even sooner.

One of the most anticipated reopenings is the bridge connecting New Orleans Square to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, which has been temporarily closed. From August 19th, 2024, guests will no longer have to trek through Frontierland to reach the galactic splendor of Galaxy’s Edge. Instead, they can once again pass through the charming streets of New Orleans Square to get there.

Additionally, Davy Crockett’s Explorer Canoes will be back in action on the same date. Adventurers can grab their paddles and navigate the picturesque Rivers of America around Tom Sawyer Island. It’s a unique, interactive experience that offers a tranquil break from the rides.

Moreover, the restrooms near the Hungry Bear Restaurant are slated to reopen on August 19th as the restaurant itself undergoes a transformation into the Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree. While you won’t yet sink your teeth into the new menu, you can regain access to these convenient facilities.

Although many areas are springing back to life, some beloved spots remain under wraps. The Disneyland Railroad, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Pooh Corner, and The Briar Patch are still undergoing refurbishments. However, with Tiana’s Bayou Adventure set to open later this year, there’s hopeful anticipation that these will soon follow suit.
