Exciting news may be on the horizon for Disneyland Resort visitors! Some savvy users have recently discovered a hint of a potential “Lightning Lane Premier Pass” buried within the latest update of the Disneyland App. Reddit user themeparkiq shared this intriguing find on r/Disneyland. The new feature is expected to include the ability to purchase and make Lightning Lane selections in advance, enhancing the speed and convenience of navigating the parks.
Disneyland’s potential Premier Pass seems to mirror moves made by Walt Disney World earlier this year. In July, Walt Disney World rebranded Genie+ to Lightning Lane Multi Pass, which now allows guests to purchase and make advanced line-skip selections. Unlike its East Coast counterpart, Disneyland Resort had only rebranded its line-skipping services without the added benefit of advance purchases or selections.
This forthcoming Premier Pass, however, could signify a change. Although no official details have been announced by Disney yet, if introduced, it might work similarly to line-skip packages available at other Disney Parks worldwide. For instance, Hong Kong Disneyland, Shanghai Disneyland, and Disneyland Paris have various Premier Access packages, permitting guests to bypass lines for multiple or all participating attractions. Meanwhile, Tokyo Disney Resort offers individual line-skip options under the same Premier Access name.
As the anticipation builds, fans and visitors alike are eager to see what shape this service might take. Would it be a universal pass encompassing multiple attractions, or a customizable selection option for specific experiences? Only time will tell.
