Hey, Marvel fans! Huge news coming from Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure Park: a brand-new attraction is on the way, and it’s bound to blow your superhero socks off! Introducing Avengers Infinity Defense, the newest addition to the ever-expanding Marvel-themed area.

Initially teased at the 2022 D23 Expo, this exciting ride was shrouded in mystery until the 2024 D23 Expo when Disney finally spilled the beans. Avengers Infinity Defense will plunge guests into a thrilling storyline where King Thanos gets his hands on the Avengers’ world-jumping technology. Expect to journey through iconic locations like Asgard, New York City, and Wakanda alongside your favorite superheroes. While specific ride details are still under wraps, we’ve gotten a sneak peek at the prototype ride vehicles, promising an immersive experience like no other.

As of now, there’s no official opening date for this E-ticket attraction. Construction is slated to begin in 2025, following the closure of the Red Car Trolley in February 2025 to make room for the new attraction. With the ambitious timeline and complexity of building a new ride, we’re looking at a likely opening date somewhere between 2026 and 2027. This ride promises to be more than just a reimagining; it’s an entirely new experience, adding significant new space to the existing Avengers Campus.

Location-wise, Avengers Infinity Defense will be nestled behind the Avengers Headquarters, currently used for meet-and-greets and as a retail space. This expansion will push the boundaries of the campus further, incorporating backstage areas and possibly the shuttered Timon parking lot. The concept art hints at a dazzling entrance past the Avengers Headquarters, preparing guests for the epic adventure that awaits them.
