Earlier this week, fans got a sneak peek of the sensational new attractions coming to Disney parks worldwide, exclusively revealed at the D23 Expo in Anaheim. On Saturday, the spotlight was on Disneyland, where Disney delivered thrilling updates on their newest additions, including the opening date for the eagerly anticipated Princess and the Frog transformation of the former Splash Mountain, an Avatar-themed land, and several new rides inspired by beloved films.

In an exciting announcement for Disney California Adventure Park, a new Avatar land is set to emerge, featuring a rugged, watery landscape inspired by Avatar: The Way of Water and future film installments. At the heart of this new expansion will be an innovative attraction described as a “dynamic, intense emotional experience on a grand scale.” Concept art teases a boat ride through a bioluminescent forest and a mystical, open ocean.

But that’s not all! A Coco-inspired ride will break ground in 2026, promising a musical journey akin to the classics like Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean. Guests will follow Miguel into the vibrant Land of the Dead, with dazzling scenes brought to life using cutting-edge audio-animatronic technology.

Marvel enthusiasts have reasons to rejoice, too. Avengers Campus will double in size with two major additions. The Avengers Infinity Defense ride, set to start construction next year, will transport riders through portals to destinations like Asgard and Wakanda. Another thrilling ride, Stark Flight Lab, will feature an interactive experience pairing different superheroes based on ride scenarios tested with the latest tech, even boasting a cameo by Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark.

Over at Disneyland Park, set to celebrate its 70th anniversary next year, the Main Street Opera House will host a new animatronic show, “Walt Disney – A Magical Life,” featuring Walt Disney himself reflecting on his legacy. Additionally, a new mission featuring The Mandalorian and Grogu will be added to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, set to debut in 2026.

We’d love to hear what you think about these exciting new attractions! Share your thoughts in the comments and don’t forget to share this story with fellow Disney fans.
