Excitement buzzed through the air at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim, where Disney officials unveiled thrilling new additions heading for Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. Fans of Disney Parks are in for a treat as these beloved Southern California destinations gear up to introduce a host of remarkable attractions.
For Disneyland enthusiasts, “The Mandalorian and Grogu” movie slated for a 2026 release will coincide with a thrilling new mission at Smugglers Run. Iconic characters Mando and Grogu embark on an all-new adventure aboard the Millennium Falcon, adding a fresh layer to the “Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge” experience. Meanwhile, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is set to open its doors on November 15th, perfectly timed with the holiday season at Disneyland Resort. The transformation of Critter Country into Bayou Country will be an exciting change for guests. Additionally, the first-ever audio-animatronic of Walt Disney, titled “Walt Disney — A Magical Life,” will debut in 2025 at the Main Street Opera House, sharing space with the enduring favorite, “Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln.”
Over at Disney California Adventure, the immensely popular Avengers Campus is about to get even more spectacular. Starting next year, the campus will expand to double its current size, with two new rides under development: Avengers Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab. Fans can expect to see familiar faces, including Robert Downey Jr., reprising beloved roles. The park will also introduce an “Avatar” attraction inspired by “Avatar: The Way of Water” and subsequent films in the franchise. Adding to the magic, Pixar’s “Coco” will have its very own ride, marking the first such attraction in any Disney park.
