Exciting news is brewing at Disneyland Resort! Marvel Studios is expanding its footprint in the first-ever Disney park. During the “Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase” at D23 Expo 2024, Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro thrilled audiences with the announcement of two long-anticipated attractions on their way to Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure Park.

Avengers Campus has been a fan favorite since it opened in 2021, taking the place of A Bug’s Land and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. While it dazzles with WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure, multiple shops, and Quick Service dining locations like the quirky Pym Test Kitchen, fans have eagerly awaited more rides.

Their patience is about to be rewarded in a big way. The two new attractions are set to elevate the immersive Marvel experience. The first, Avengers Infinity Defense, will take recruits on an exhilarating mission to hunt down Thanos across iconic locations such as Asgard, Wakanda, and New York City. The second ride, Stark Flight Lab, invites guests to join Iron Man in a thrilling simulated flight experience in two-person pods, guided by none other than Tony Stark himself.

Adding to the excitement, Robert Downey Jr. reprises his iconic role for both attractions, even enjoying a test ride with Disney CEO Bob Iger. Concept art showcases the exciting visuals of these attractions, promising an unforgettable experience for Marvel fans.

The expansion is set to double the size of Avengers Campus, with construction beginning in 2025. Although the precise opening dates remain under wraps, the anticipation is already building.
