Exciting times are ahead for Disneyland Resort foodies! In the midst of numerous transformations announced at D23 by Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro, including new lands and experiences, there’s some thrilling culinary news. Disneyland’s Downtown Disney District will soon welcome two new restaurants helmed by none other than Joe Isidori, former executive chef for Donald Trump.
Joe Isidori, known for leading the Mar-a-Lago Club and the DJT restaurant at Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, brings his gourmet expertise to a new stage. He is set to open a full-service steakhouse and an adjoining quick-service barbecue restaurant on the site previously occupied by Tortilla Jo’s, which closed this March. This bold move follows the filing of building permits to demolish the 18,900-square-foot building, setting the stage for these exciting new eateries.
What can guests look forward to? The steakhouse will offer a sophisticated ambiance, featuring prime cuts of beef, fresh seafood, and tasty salads, while the barbecue joint will focus on quick-service dishes like pulled pork, beef brisket, and smoked wings. A prominent outdoor bar will also feature craft beers and moonshine cocktails, ensuring there’s something delightful for every palate.
While specific opening dates have not yet been announced, the anticipation is palpable. Disney fans and food enthusiasts alike are sure to be thrilled by these new additions. With Isidori already making waves at Downtown Disney as the co-founder of Black Tap Craft Burgers, these new ventures will undoubtedly add to the vibrant food scene.
This culinary expansion is just part of the major changes coming to Disneyland Resort. From the doubling of Avengers Campus to a new version of Pandora – World of Avatar, there’s no shortage of excitement brewing in Anaheim. Keep an eye out for further updates and be sure to share your thoughts on these developments!
