If there’s one thing we love here at Mickey News, it’s a good Disney snack update! And when it comes to exciting culinary adventures, PYM’s Test Kitchen in Disneyland’s Avengers Campus never fails to deliver. This bustling eatery is now offering three tantalizing new menu items, and we’ve got all the savory and sweet details right here!

First up, the Reactor Melt. Crafted with garlic pesto toasted sourdough, mozzarella, basil, and tomato, and served with crispy potato barrels for $14.99, this sandwich sounds like a winner. However, our pal Ryno found the garlic pesto flavor to be disappointingly absent. The redeeming factor? Those delightful potato barrels, perfectly fried to a golden crunch.

Next on the list is the Humongous Taco Salad. Priced at $14.49, this dish features a taco shell brimming with romaine dressed in chipotle ranch, chicken, corn, bell peppers, cotija, and avocado. While the size may not live up to its name, the salad’s flavors are bright and refreshing—ideal for a hot day at the park. Still, Ryno advises sticking with the fan-favorite Not So Little Chicken Sandwich if you’re looking for a more satisfying bite.

Finally, for the dessert aficionados, the new Choco Smash Cake is making waves. At $8.99, you get a small piece of cake with layers of brownie, white chocolate, peanut butter ganache, crunch pearls, white cake, dark chocolate truffle mousse, white chocolate caramel Bavarian cream, all encased in chocolate ganache and topped with roasted peanuts. Despite its diminutive size, the rich flavors more than make up for it. Yet, for those who miss the Choco Smash candy bar, this new item might not quite fill that void.
