Big news from Disneyland! Critter Country, a beloved part of the park for many years, is on the verge of transforming into Bayou Country. This change is tied to the highly anticipated debut of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which is set to open on November 15th. Alongside this exciting transformation, the Hungry Bear Restaurant will be reimagined as Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree. But that’s not all the changes we can expect.
Two delightful new stores will be making their debut in this refreshed area. Splash Mountain’s transition into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure comes with the reopening of the iconic Critter Country shops, now revamped with a Princess and the Frog twist. The first of these stores, Louis’ Critter Club, will swing open its doors on November 13th, just ahead of the ride’s grand opening. Guests can look forward to discovering a variety of themed merchandise and souvenirs that celebrate the enchantment of Bayou Country.
Meanwhile, Ray’s Berets, another new addition, will feature a range of headwear, apparel, accessories, and toys. While a precise opening date for this store is yet to be announced, visitors can anticipate plenty of fun and unique finds.
Temporary closures in Critter Country have been necessary to facilitate this magical transformation, but some attractions and dining spots may stay open during the change. With Bayou Country and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure officially opening on November 15th, there’s a lot to look forward to, and more updates will surely follow.
