Get ready to embrace the Halloween spirit at Disney California Adventure Park! As the season officially approaches, the park is coming alive with festive decorations and that spooky touch we all love. Our favorite fright, Oogie Boogie, has already made his grand entrance above “California” at the park’s gateway, complete with bats and a haunting full moon backdrop. It’s the perfect prelude to the popular Oogie Boogie Bash, kicking off on August 25 and running through October 31. Sadly, if you haven’t got your tickets yet, the event is already sold out. But don’t worry, you can still enjoy a sneak peek of the exclusive event merchandise!

Once inside the park, guests are greeted by more Oogie Boogie magic. Turn around and spot Oogie’s laughing black silhouette set against the vibrant yellow back of the full moon. It’s a striking image that sets the tone for the rest of the park. At Mortimer’s Market, you’ll find charming jack-o’-lanterns and gourds adorning the top shelves, adding a quaint Halloween touch to the everyday scene.

Buena Vista Street is gearing up for Halloween as well. While the streets haven’t been fully decked out yet, you can already spot “The Skeleton Dance” displays popping up at Elias & Co. and Big Top Toys. Seeing old-school Mickey in black and white, paralyzed with fear, as he holds a paintbrush overhead, is a nostalgic treat!

Don’t miss the enchanting window displays featuring Mickey with organ keys and animated pipes behind him. Another display shows Mickey at the organ while dancing skeletons cavort in the background—a delightful nod to the “Silly Symphony” short from 1929. These creative touches bring the magic of old Disney to life and add an extra layer of Halloween fun.

As more decor continues to appear throughout Disneyland Resort, it’s clear that this year’s Halloween festivities are set to be truly spectacular. Be sure to keep an eye out for more updates on the spooky transformations happening all around.
