A dramatic scene unfolded at Disney California Adventure Park recently when a mother attempted to sneak her children into the park without paying for tickets. The mission — disguising her kids as toddlers to bypass ticket fees — led to her being escorted out in handcuffs, much to the distress of her children who were seen clinging to her and crying for help in Spanish.
The incident was captured on TikTok and has since garnered considerable attention, with nearly 400,000 views. The video shows Disney security and Anaheim police officers surrounding the mother, while another officer pushed a side-by-side stroller. A caption whimsically noted, “Getting arrested at the happiest place on earth,” although the footage tells a somber story of distress and chaos.
The Anaheim Police Department explained to TMZ that the woman was trying to pass off her children as under 3 years old, which would allow them free entry. Disneyland Park policies state that children under this age can enter without a ticket, as long as they are accompanied by a ticketed guest. However, the mother’s previous attempts to sneak her children into the park likely played a role in her arrest for trespassing. She was later released on a citation.
This isn’t the first time such an incident has occurred at a Disney park. Similar cases, like a viral TikTok video in 2022 showing an older child being hidden under blankets in a stroller at Disney World in Florida, highlight the lengths to which some guests will go to avoid the steep ticket prices.
