Did you know that Disneyland might be gearing up for another ticket price hike? As the beloved Anaheim theme park prepares for its 70th anniversary celebration in 2025, rumors are swirling that the tradition of October price increases may continue. Over the past few years, October has become synonymous with cost hikes at Disneyland, and this year appears to be no different.
According to MiceChat, “Disneyland raises ticket prices like clockwork every October.” Observers have noticed a trend where ticket prices increase sometime in mid-October, typically between Oct. 8 and 16. Mickey Visit, a popular theme park vacation planning site, also suggests that a price increase is imminent. Past years saw price hikes on Oct. 11, which could be a clue for this year’s schedule.
So, why the October hikes? The shift from early calendar year increases to mid-October sprung partly from the COVID-19 pandemic disruptions. The most recent increases occurred on Oct. 25, 2021, Oct. 11, 2022, and Oct. 11, 2023. During this period, the highest-priced one-day, one-park ticket soared from $149 in 2019 to $194 in 2023. However, the lowest-priced one-day single park ticket has remained steady at $104 since 2019.
To soften the blow, Disneyland often introduces a discount promotion just before the price increase announcement. “If or when we see a new discount rolled out, it will be a good indicator that the price increase is just around the corner,” said Gavin Doyle, founder of Mickey Visit. Pro tip: Buying tickets now might save you money if you plan to visit during the winter holidays or early next year.
