All aboard! Excitement is chugging through the air as the beloved Disneyland Railroad prepares to return to service after a rigorous refurbishment period. The iconic steam locomotive is set to whisk guests around Disneyland Park once again starting Friday, October 25.
The hiatus began with the closure of the New Orleans Square Station to accommodate construction for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and enhancements to the Haunted Mansion grounds. Subsequently, the entire railroad system temporarily ceased its operations on August 5 to undergo further updates. While Disney hasn’t confirmed if the New Orleans Square Station will be operational by the reopening date, eager passengers can still board at Main Street, Mickey’s Toontown, and Tomorrowland stations. The full circular journey lasts about 18 minutes, giving guests a leisurely and scenic tour of the park.
Recently, observant park-goers spotted the train taking some test runs, hinting at its impending return. Now, Disney has officially matched the reopening date with the launch of the newly-reimagined Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree, making it a double delight for visitors.
