With the precision of a clock ticking down to a spectacular fireworks show, Disneyland has once again turned up the dial on its prices just in time for the 2024 holiday season. But this increase isn’t just about the numbers; it’s a testament to Disney’s unwavering confidence in its future expansions rekindling the magic and bringing guests back through the gates.

For some perspective, this year marks a turning point as a single-day ticket to Disneyland has crossed the $200 threshold for the first time ever—a staggering 114% leap from 2014. Despite the slight ebb in attendance, Disney remains bullish, bolstered by a staggering $60 billion parks investment aimed at breathing new life into its attractions and guest experiences.

Interestingly, while Walt Disney World in Florida has already adjusted its base ticket prices, Disneyland in Anaheim has opted to keep its Tier 0 tickets at $104, but with a catch: these tickets are only available for just 34 days throughout 2025. For most of the year, visitors will need to navigate Tiers 2 through 6, which have all seen a roughly 6% price increase. Multi-day tickets and the Magic Key annual passes have also seen similar hikes.

Even the previously free Lightning Lane—now a paid service—has not been spared, with its cost rising from $30 to $32. However, there’s a silver lining as the popular Park Hopper add-on remains unchanged at $65.

Amidst these price upticks, Disneyland spokesperson Jessica Good emphasized that Disney continues to offer “a wide variety of ticket, dining, and hotel options, and promotional offers” to accommodate as many families as possible. One such offer includes the limited-time $50 kids’ tickets for early 2025.

Despite some short-term challenges highlighted in Disney’s recent financial reports, the company is clearly playing the long game. With massive expansions like the Marvel-focused Avengers Campus and new attractions for beloved franchises such as “Cars,” “Encanto,” “Indiana Jones,” and “Avatar,” the goal is clear: reignite the demand and keep the magic alive.
