On March 24th, 2025, Disneyland experienced an unexpected and intense lockdown due to a police pursuit that came to an abrupt halt in the parking garage of the happiest place on earth. It all began when police in San Juan Capistrano identified a stolen grey Chevy Camaro reportedly driven by one to four suspects. The chase escalated quickly as the suspects sped towards Anaheim, reaching frightening speeds of over 100 miles per hour.

The high-speed chase spanned multiple highways until safety concerns led the authorities to switch to an aerial pursuit. The suspects, seemingly aware of the change, made a beeline for the Pixar Pals parking garage at Disneyland. What happened next can only be described as something straight out of an action movie.

As the suspects darted into the massive Pixar Pals parking garage, which can house roughly 6,500 vehicles, Disneyland’s security and local law enforcement were quick to act. The parking garage was sealed off in an effort to corner the suspects, who had already abandoned their stolen vehicle within the labyrinthine structure. The daunting task ahead of police was likened to “finding a needle in a haystack,” but their persistence paid off as at least two suspects were taken into custody.

Guests exiting the structure experienced brief delays as deputies ensured the area was secure. While this incident undoubtedly brought unexpected excitement to some visitors’ day, it serves as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of real-world events, even in a magical place like Disneyland.
