Get ready, Disney fans! A brand-new pilot program, the Lightning Lane Premier Pass, is set to launch at Disneyland in Anaheim and Walt Disney World in Orlando, bringing a whole new way to skip the lines for those willing to splurge. The program, announced by Disney, will give guests the chance to experience premier attractions without waiting—just in time for the busy holiday season.
Starting on October 23, 2024, Disneyland will offer the Lightning Lane Premier Pass for $400 per person per day. This exclusive pass will be available on a first-come, first-served basis to all guests who have a valid theme park ticket and reservation. You can purchase the passes up to two days in advance using the Disneyland app and a MyDisney account, giving you the freedom to enjoy your favorite attractions without booking specific times. The pass also includes photo and video downloads from select attractions, making it a perfect addition for capturing those magical moments.
Meanwhile, Walt Disney World will roll out its version of the Premier Pass on October 30, 2024. Initially available only to guests staying at Disney Deluxe or Deluxe Villa resorts, these passes can be purchased up to seven days in advance through the My Disney Experience app. Prices will depend on the date and theme park, ranging from $149 to $449 per pass, plus tax. Magic Kingdom will have the highest prices, while Disney’s Animal Kingdom will offer the most budget-friendly options in the lineup.
This new offering comes as no surprise since other theme parks have had similar fast-track programs for years. Disney emphasizes that the pilot passes are not a response to recent changes in the park’s Disability Access Service, but rather an enhancement to the existing options, which remain unchanged.
So, are you excited about this new way to make the most of your Disney adventure? Share your thoughts in the comments! And don’t forget to spread the word to fellow Disney enthusiasts.
