Exciting news for Disney fans! The Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, and Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, are set to debut a brand-new premium skip-the-line service called the Lightning Lane Premier Pass. This cutting-edge service will launch on October 23, 2024, at Disneyland and October 30, 2024, at Walt Disney World, providing one-time access to every attraction offering a Lightning Lane entrance for an entire day.
At Walt Disney World, the Lightning Lane Premier Pass is exclusive to guests staying at Deluxe or Deluxe Villa resorts and can be purchased up to seven days prior to your visit. Prices, varying by date and park, range from $129 to $449 plus tax per person, depending on the park with Magic Kingdom topping the chart. For Disneyland, the service is open to all guests with a park reservation and can be booked two days ahead. Through the remainder of 2024, it’s priced at $400 per person, with prices ranging from $300 to $400 in 2025.
The introduction of Lightning Lane Premier Pass doesn’t spell the end for the existing Lightning Lane Multi Pass, where guests schedule return times for attractions. This new offering, however, introduces a more flexible, VIP-like experience for those willing to splurge for convenience.
In comparison to other theme parks, Disney’s latest offering stacks up competitively. For instance, Universal’s Express Pass at Universal Studios Hollywood ranges from $199 to $319 per person and includes park admission. Universal Orlando Resort’s Express Pass varies between $90 to $320 for one ride, with unlimited options also available.
As Gavin Doyle from MickeyVisit.com notes, “This new line-skipping service is another way for Disney Parks to offer something between the current Lightning Lane offerings and the more expensive VIP tours.”
