At D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro unveiled a dazzling array of new attractions, experiences, and collaborations for Disney parks worldwide. It was a musical celebration that promised an ambitious future for Disney’s storytelling, both in physical parks and the digital realm.

Kicking off with the announcement of four new cruise ships set to hit the waves between 2027 and 2031, the expansion will offer guests 13 ways to enjoy Disney’s signature entertainment and service. Meanwhile, Disney fans can look forward to six new themed lands and a whopping 14 all-new attractions. Highlights include the first-ever ride-through attraction inspired by “Coco” at Disney California Adventure, where visitors will join Miguel in the Land of the Dead, and “Disney Starlight,” a nighttime parade premiering at Magic Kingdom.

New lands dedicated to beloved franchises such as “Monsters, Inc.” are on the horizon. Disney’s Hollywood Studios will introduce the first suspended coaster at any Disney park, letting guests experience the exhilarating door vault sequence from the movie. Magic Kingdom will see its Frontierland reimagined with a “Cars” themed area, featuring a thrilling off-road race and a family-friendly ride. And for those who prefer their Disney experiences a bit darker, Disney Villains will take the stage in a new land at Magic Kingdom, complete with two new attractions, dining, and shopping.

At Disneyland park, an all-new Avatar experience will transport guests to the world of “Pandora,” while the Main Street Opera House will soon host “Walt Disney – A Magical Life,” featuring the first-ever Audio-Animatronics figure of Walt Disney himself. Avengers fans have much to look forward to as well, with new attractions at Disney California Adventure, Shanghai Disney Resort, and Hong Kong Disneyland, promising exciting battles across the Marvel multiverse.

Disney’s collaboration with Epic Games was also a significant highlight, as the convergence of Disney’s iconic characters and stories into the dynamic, virtual space of Fortnite was discussed. This partnership promises a universe where fans can watch, play, and even create their own Disney tales. New characters and skins, ranging from Disney Villains to The Incredibles and The Mandalorian, are set to appear, ensuring that this digital universe will be just as vibrant and magical as the physical parks.
