Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort is bursting with vibrant colors and cultural celebrations as it honors Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month, from September 15 through October 15. The district is adorned with beautifully crafted decorations that highlight the rich traditions and stories that animate these communities.
One of the highlights is a striking mural near the new security plaza. Featuring Day of the Dead imagery, it showcases marigolds, altars, and scenes inspired by Disney-Pixar’s “Coco.” The mural reads, “Welcome Familia, Bienvenidos,” and “Our stories celebrate the love and traditions of family who inspired us,” providing a heartwarming visual tribute to family heritage.
The celebrations extend to the nearby stage, adorned with floral arrangements and rainbow-themed banners. The stage will host various performances, including DJ sets from Mike Sincere and Jezzy B, and live Mariachi music from Mariachi Amor. This lively entertainment brings the energy of Hispanic and Latin American cultures to the heart of Downtown Disney.
A special food and beverage menu has been curated for the occasion, featuring delicacies from the newly opened Céntrico, Paseo, and Tiendita. Guests can savor a range of dishes that reflect the culinary diversity of Hispanic and Latin American cultures, making the celebration not just a feast for the eyes and ears but also for the taste buds.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, a beautiful topiary of Isabela from “Encanto” along with a flower display, provides a picturesque spot for photo opportunities. Fans can also meet Isabela and her sisters Luisa and Mirabel for the first time in Disneyland Park this month.
To cap it off, the district is adorned with decorative floral medallions and garlands. These intricate designs reflect the beauty and craftsmanship of Hispanic and Latin cultures and offer a stunning backdrop for this month-long celebration.
