Ahead of this momentous occasion, Disneyland has been busily unveiling a plethora of exciting offerings—from vibrant entertainment and interactive MagicBand+ experiences to delectable food, exclusive merchandise, and even a special guided tour. But that’s not all; guests are in for a treat with brand-new Magic Shots and Disney PhotoPass lenses, perfect for capturing those once-in-a-lifetime memories.
During the 70th Celebration, Disney PhotoPass is rolling out an array of new Magic Shots that sprinkle your photos with a touch of Disney magic. Be sure to find Disney PhotoPass cast members to snap a picture that includes charming add-ons like the Mickey and Minnie Magic Shot. Available from May 16, these will be located near the main entrance to Disneyland and Sleeping Beauty Castle. For the best experience, consider purchasing the Disney PhotoPass+ One Day package, which includes unlimited downloads of your magical photos. Alternatively, the Lightning Lane Multi Pass or the Lightning Lane Premiere Pass provides access to Disney PhotoPass Lenses and unlimited digital downloads.
Speaking of those lenses, Disney PhotoPass Lenses are another fabulous way to enhance your visit. These special AR (augmented reality) effects can transform your photos with whimsical Disney-themed elements. Some lenses are location-specific, while others can be accessed throughout the park. Note that select lenses will remain accessible for up to 45 days after your Lightning Lane Multi Pass expiration, giving you ample time to relive the magic.
To enable these magical features, simply ensure your Disneyland app has access to your device’s camera and location. Open the app menu and select “PhotoPass Lenses” to start your augmented reality adventure. Just a heads up, some lenses use technology that detects coordinates on your face and hands, so they’re generally best for guests over 18 who can consent to its use.
