At the enchanting Disneyland Resort, a galaxy not so far away, 19 Make-A-Wish children embarked on a Star Wars-themed adventure of their dreams. This heartwarming event, titled “Blaze Your Path: A Star Wars Adventure,” was a five-day extravaganza offering the families a chance to immerse themselves in all things Star Wars at the iconic park.
Over the course of their stay, these incredible young participants, along with their families, were treated to an array of exclusive experiences. Their journey included a star-studded kick-off celebration featuring special photo ops, a dinner and dessert party crafted just for them, droid-building sessions, and an exhilarating scavenger hunt to find the missing pieces of their own custom lightsabers. But the crescendo of their trip was undoubtedly “Blaze Your Path: The Finale.” Held in the spectacular Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, wish families joined forces with beloved Star Wars characters like Rey, Vi Moradi, and Chewbacca to stand up against the menacing First Order.
Adding to the magic, the families enjoyed their stay at Disney’s luxurious Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, where they could relax and unwind. This event underscores Disney’s robust partnership with Make-A-Wish. Since granting its first official wish at Disneyland, Disney has fulfilled over 155,000 wishes globally, making it the largest wish granter in the world for the Make-A-Wish foundation.
