Downtown Disney at Disneyland Resort is undergoing a major transformation, making it an exciting time to visit! The freshly revitalized area now features the brand-new Céntrico, Paseo, and Tiendita eateries, taking over the former locations of Catal Restaurant and Uva Bar. If you’re a fan of world-renowned dining, you’ll be delighted to know that the highly anticipated Din Tai Fung has opened its doors near the Disneyland Hotel. Earl of Sandwich enthusiasts also have options: it’s currently operating in two spots, with more changes on the horizon as Porto’s Bakery prepares to occupy the space formerly held by La Brea.
Additionally, the vibrant shopping scene in Downtown Disney is seeing some moves and improvements. The Dress Shop and WonderGround Gallery are both on the move, while Marceline’s Confectionary and The Dress Shop are set to become Disney’s Wonderful World of Sweets.
One of the standout upgrades is Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen, which has been rebranded simply as Jazz Kitchen. This modernized venue, open since summer 2023, now offers an inviting choice of dining atmospheres—including indoor seating, a balcony, and a courtyard. The Jazz Kitchen continues to serve up Southern California fresh cuisine fused with Louisiana classics, promising a menu to tantalize the taste buds.
Jazz Kitchen also includes Beignets Expressed, letting guests indulge in both classic and seasonal beignets. Reviews are already singing its praises, with one diner describing the “Gumboyaya” as “thick, creamy, and dreamy,” lauding it as an elite dish that compares favorably to any gumbo or jambalaya found in the South.
Reservations for Jazz Kitchen are available through the Disneyland app, but walk-ups are also an option. With new dining options, including a steakhouse and a barbecue restaurant from Michelin-starred Chef Joe Isidori, Downtown Disney’s culinary lineup is more compelling than ever.
