An electrifying update is coming to Disney California Adventure’s World of Color! On May 16th, 2025, the night sky will be filled with the debut of “World of Color Happiness!”—a stunning new show launching as part of Disneyland’s momentous 70th-anniversary celebration.
Before the magical spectacle begins, guests have an exciting opportunity to interact with the show. By using the Disneyland app, visitors can vote for their favorite emotion among Sadness, Anger, Disgust, and Envy from Pixar’s beloved Inside Out (and its upcoming sequel). These emotions will be highlighted in special scenes throughout the night’s performances, adding a personal touch to each viewing.
Inspired by Walt Disney’s iconic welcome speech from the park’s inaugural day, the new show celebrates happiness through an array of emotions. Hosted by Joy and her colorful cohorts from Inside Out, this nighttime extravaganza will feature mesmerizing music and scenes from classic Disney and Pixar films like Turning Red, A Goofy Movie, Tangled, and The Lion King. Musical gems include an inspired new rendition of “Rainbow Connection” by Boyz II Men and an exclusive song, “Makes Me Wanna Move,” performed by FITZ of Fitz and the Tantrums.
Bringing the magic to life, “World of Color Happiness!” promises to transform Paradise Bay with its signature fountains, dynamic lighting, vibrant lasers, ambient fog, and thrilling fire effects. This immersive experience is set to dazzle audiences and create unforgettable memories.
Stay tuned for more updates on Disneyland’s 70th-anniversary celebration, including new limited-time merchandise collections and special dining packages designed to complement the festivities.
