In celebration of the conclusion of the Disneyland Resort’s Diamond Celebration, and the beginning of our 61st year in the city of Anaheim on July 17, the Disneyland Resort has announced a ticket donation program to sixth grade students in Anaheim, recognizing student actions to improve their homes, schools or communities. The Disneyland Resort has a long history of supporting education and enriching the local Anaheim community, and this program is a unique way to partner with the residents of Anaheim to make our community stronger.
The ticket donation program is called Happiest Class on Earth: Anaheim 6th Graders Making a Difference. Every year for at least the next 10 years, each 6th grade student in Anaheim elementary schools will have the opportunity to receive a Disneyland Resort Park Hopper ticket after completing a project that enriches their home, school or community.
All public and private schools located in the city of Anaheim, California, with a sixth grade class are eligible. Schools located outside the city of Anaheim with a minimum of 50% of students currently residing in Anaheim are also eligible. Total of approximately 5,000 students in the 2016/2017 school year.
Every school in Anaheim with a 6th grade class is eligible to participate. Each school will be given a suggested list of actions that students can take individually or as a class, but schools are welcome to determine their own good works to address their needs. Teachers will document the actions and submit to the Disneyland Resort to receive their tickets. Schools will be encouraged to visit Disneyland Resort as a class field trip. The Disneyland Resort will also provide schools with post-field trip activities to use in the classroom, to make the visit educational.
The program is starting in 2016 and continuing for at least the next 10 years, through September 2025
