During this year’s “Season of the Force” at Disneyland, the iconic Space Mountain transforms into the thrilling Hyperspace Mountain, featuring brand new lighting effects that elevate the Star Wars experience to a whole new level. The coaster retains its classic track and layout, but with dazzling visual and audio enhancements, including the iconic “Star Wars” score by John Williams and intense TIE Fighter engagements.
As you make your way through the queue, you’ll notice the revamped interior, now aglow with spectacular blue and purple lighting. The windows that peer into the vastness of space and the rocket boosters exhibit a vivid blue hue, setting the stage for your intergalactic journey. Meanwhile, a futuristic control tower bathed in blue lighting replaces the red shades from previous years, providing a cool, sci-fi ambiance.
When stepping onto the escalator, guests are greeted by reflective surfaces and blue neon lights, guiding them upwards into a realm that feels straight out of a Star Wars film. The lift hill itself now boasts clearer lighting and screen effects, making your anticipation of the hyperspace jump even more intense. Tunnel sequences feature dynamic lights changing from white to yellow to red, accompanied by pilot chatter, adding to the authenticity of the ride.
Throughout the ride, stunning projections of Star Destroyers and an intricate mission briefing from Admiral Ackbar immerse visitors in a daring reconnaissance mission for the New Republic. Racing through space has never been this visually exhilarating or action-packed, with every twist and turn bringing the Star Wars universe to life in vivid detail.
Season of the Force runs from March 28 to May 11, 2025, offering fans a limited-time chance to experience Hyperspace Mountain in all its glory.
