Exciting transformations are coming to the Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort! After the successful introduction of Chef Carlos Gaytan’s Paseo, Centrico, and Tiendita, there’s more to look forward to. The space formerly occupied by Tortilla Joe’s will soon house a brand-new Steakhouse and BBQ Restaurant from Michelin-starred Chef Joe Isidori, known for his culinary genius at Arthur & Sons in New York and JOTORO Kitchen & Tequila Bar in Tampa, Fla.
Chef Isidori will elevate the dining experience with his full-service steakhouse offering prime cuts of beef, fresh seafood, and expertly crafted cocktails. Adjacent to it, a quick-service BBQ joint will serve mouth-watering dishes like pulled pork, beef brisket, and smoked wings, complemented by an outdoor bar offering craft beers and moonshine cocktails. While an official opening date is yet to be announced, the anticipation is already sizzling!
Sweet tooths, rejoice! Marceline’s Confectionery is undergoing a magical makeover to reopen this winter as the Disney Wonderful World of Sweets. This whimsical shop will expand to offer delights like churro toffee, caramel apples, and the beloved freshly-made Werther’s Original Caramel popcorn. With an exhibition kitchen visible from the promenade, guests can watch these treats being created before their eyes.
Moreover, Earl of Sandwich fans can finally relax as the beloved sandwich shop will have a new, permanent two-story home on the west side of Downtown Disney. The ground level will feature the classic Earl of Sandwich offerings, while the second floor will introduce The Carnaby Tavern, a vibrant new table-service restaurant paying homage to the iconic British Invasion pop and rock bands of the ’60s. Featuring a patio with an indoor/outdoor full-service bar, this spot is sure to become a favorite for music lovers and foodies alike.
Shopping enthusiasts will also find new treasures with the arrival of several unique stores. The fall will see the debut of the Kawaii Slime Cart, a mom-owned business offering imaginative slime concoctions and toys. Winter will usher in Avengers Reserve, a Marvel-themed shop, and the D-Lander Shop, offering stylish Southern California-inspired apparel, accessories, and jewelry.
With these incredible additions, the Downtown Disney District promises an even richer and more diverse experience for guests. What are you most excited to explore? Share your thoughts in the comments, and don’t forget to share this story with fellow Disney fans!
