Exciting news is afoot at Disney California Adventure as the beloved “Avengers Assemble!” stunt show at Avengers Campus is set to end its run. Since its debut in 2021, this thrilling show featuring Black Widow facing off against Taskmaster, often with a surprise assist from another Avenger, has captivated audiences. The final performance is scheduled for April 5, 2025, a date confirmed by officials at the Disneyland Resort.
The farewell to “Avengers Assemble!” comes amid an exciting expansion phase for Avengers Campus. This expansion will double the existing area, introducing two brand-new attractions: Avengers Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab. These highly anticipated attractions were unveiled during the Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event last year. To support this expansion, the Red Car Trolley has already ceased operations, symbolizing the significant changes on the horizon for the land.
Throughout its tenure, “Avengers Assemble!” evolved to keep things fresh and engaging. This included appearances by different characters such as Captain America and seasonal editions like a Christmas performance featuring Hawkeye and Kate Bishop. Last year, the show even showcased a special finale with fan-favorites Deadpool and Wolverine.
The end of “Avengers Assemble!” follows the closures of other entertainment options at the resort, including Disney Jr. Dance Party and Doctor Strange: Mysteries of the Mystic Arts. While these closures mark the end of an era, they also hint at exciting new entertainment possibilities once the Avengers Campus expansion is complete.
