Get ready to embark on an enchanting adventure! Starting June 28, Walt Disney World Resort will welcome guests to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Inspired by the beloved animated film “The Princess and the Frog,” this thrilling new ride picks up where the movie left off, taking us all on a lively journey through the Louisiana bayou. We’ll join Princess Tiana as she prepares a one-of-a-kind celebration for Mardi Gras, encountering beloved characters and making plenty of new friends along the way.
You may recall the excitement from the “American Idol” Disney Night, where the formidable Top 5 contestants performed under the mentorship of country star Kane Brown. Adding to the magic was Jenifer Lewis, the voice behind Mama Odie, who graced the stage with a soulful rendition of “Dig A Little Deeper.” Right afterward, Ryan Seacrest revealed the long-anticipated opening date of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, making an already spellbinding evening unforgettable.
But the celebrations don’t stop there! The unveiling of this new attraction also brought joy to New Orleans, the very essence of Tiana’s world. Grammy-winner PJ Morton, who contributed to the ride’s soundtrack, along with members of the renowned Chase family, rejoiced with Princess Tiana and Louis amid the vibrant atmosphere of this historic city. And of course, no New Orleans festivity would be complete without the infectious energy of the St. Augustine High School Marching Band.
Prepare for a tantalizing blend of brand-new music and familiar melodies from “The Princess and the Frog” as you navigate the swamplands and experience a exhilarating 50-foot drop! Imagineers have been hard at work crafting a unique, immersive experience filled with innovative Audio-Animatronics and breathtaking scenery.
Disney has even more pixie dust up its sleeves. Florida-based Cast Members, Annual Passholders, and eligible Disney Vacation Club Members may get the chance to sneak in a preview before the grand opening on June 28, so stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog for more details dropping soon.
