Disneyland’s highly anticipated Oogie Boogie Bash has sold out once again, but this time in a surprising fashion. After an initial rush from Disneyland’s annual passholders, pre-sale tickets for the event moved at a slower pace compared to previous years. The fevered excitement surrounding the ticket launch seemed to have cooled, resulting in all tickets being snapped up by July 6, 2024, as confirmed by Disneyland’s official website.
The Oogie Boogie Bash event spans 27 select nights from August 25 through October 31 at Disney California Adventure. This year, Disneyland’s tech updates ensured a smoother purchasing process, avoiding the dreaded issues that past ticket sales have faced. In just three hours, Inspire Keyholders bought up all their allocated tickets during the initial pre-sale on June 25. The following day, the remainder of Disneyland Magic Keyholders claimed their spots within two hours.
When sales opened to the general public on June 27, it took a leisurely nine days for the rest of the tickets to sell out. Disneyland’s efforts to streamline the ticketing process certainly paid off this year. Though the overall sell-out time was longer, wait times were minimal post the initial rush, and transaction speeds were notably improved. The tickets, priced between $134 and $189 depending on the date, eventually found their way into the hands of eager fans.
Oogie Boogie Bash promises a delightfully frightful experience with features like the Frightfully Fun Parade, Villains Grove, and plenty of trick-or-treat trails. The after-hours party, separate from the Halloween Time decor, offers attendees five hours of spooky fun starting at 6 p.m., with mix-in starting three hours earlier. Guests can look forward to the return of popular Halloween-themed attraction overlays, including Guardians of the Galaxy — Mission: Breakout.
