In a rather unexpected twist at the magical grounds of Disneyland Resort, a guest was ejected earlier this month for attempting to hang an advertisement banner for a cryptocurrency called Maneki. The incident, which took place during the weekend of D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, was captured on TikTok by user @LaTruce, who posted two videos documenting the curious episode.
In the first video, a person sporting a red shirt and a ball cap can be seen attaching the unauthorized crypto banner to a green decorative planter in the promenade area of Disneyland Resort. Within mere seconds, a vigilant Cast Member swooped in, instructing the individual to remove the banner immediately.
The second video captures the aftermath as the Cast Member oversees the banner’s takedown and subsequently escorts the guest off the property. According to LaTruce, it took just about a minute and 12 seconds for Disney security to intervene, exemplifying the park’s strict adherence to maintaining its enchanting environment free from unauthorized advertisements.
While Disneyland’s official rules and regulations may not list advertisements explicitly as prohibited items, the resort clearly reserves the right to enforce such policies to preserve its pristine guest experience. This was a prime example of Disney’s dedication to its core values, ensuring that nothing detracts from the magic that guests expect when they enter the park.
This incident has certainly stirred conversations among the Disney community, with many people weighing in on the unusual event. It’s a reminder of the meticulous effort Disney puts into maintaining the immersive world they create for millions of visitors each year.
