Disneyland experienced an unexpected incident on Friday as a significant fire erupted within the Pixar Pals parking structure, sending thick black plumes of smoke soaring above the Anaheim, California resort. Firefighters responded promptly, tracing the blaze back to a Toyota RAV4. The fire quickly spread to nearby vehicles before being brought under control by Anaheim Fire and Rescue teams.

When they arrived at approximately 9:47 a.m. local time, firefighters found multiple vehicles ablaze. “When units arrived, they found the fire had spread to two or three additional vehicles,” a fire department spokesperson told the Los Angeles Times. Social media platforms lit up with dramatic photos and videos showing flames engulfing a vehicle and smoke filling the parking structure, with many guests at Disneyland sharing their firsthand experiences of the disruption.

Despite the severity of the fire, no injuries were reported, although paramedics were on standby as a precaution. Anaheim Police Sgt. Jacob Gallacher confirmed, “The fire spread to several other vehicles, but was quickly extinguished.” Unfortunately, the aftermath left many families waiting for hours to retrieve their cars, as large sections of the area were cordoned off during the firefighting efforts.

The incident, which caused visible damage to the exterior of the parking structure by evening, remains under investigation to determine the precise cause of the fire. This comes shortly after a recent fire at Disney World’s Epcot theme park in Florida, where a blaze in a walk-in cooler behind the France Pavilion also caused significant alarm but was extinguished without injuries.

Let’s hope for a swift resolution and that steps are taken to prevent such occurrences in the future. Have you ever experienced an unexpected event at a theme park? Share your stories and thoughts in the comments below and connect with other Disney fans!
