Tokyo DisneySea Unveils Spectacular Frozen Kingdom in Fantasy Springs
Tokyo DisneySea is exciting kingdoms far and wide with its latest expansion, Fantasy Springs, a magical realm brought to life with an unparalleled budget of 320 billion yen (approx. US$2 billion). Among these enchanting lands lies Frozen Kingdom, the largest of the three new zones, promising to immerse visitors in the frosty allure of Disney’s beloved Frozen universe.
Upon entering Frozen Kingdom, guests are greeted by the breathtaking cityscape of Arendelle, complete with Elsa’s shimmering ice castle glistening in the distance. This area beautifully extends the story beyond the events of the film, allowing fans to marvel at Elsa’s acceptance and control of her icy powers. It’s an experience that will make you feel as if you’ve stepped right into the animated wonderland.
One standout highlight is the Royal Banquet of Arendelle, where diners can revel in a regal experience fit for royalty. With seating for around 570 guests, the restaurant replicates the grandeur of castle dining. Walls adorned with captivating paintings of Frozen characters and charming details like Elsa’s childhood Olaf straw doll add an extra touch of magic. The menu’s crown jewel is the Arendelle Royal Set, priced at 3,500 yen ($22.47), featuring a delectable ensemble of dishes that promises to delight, though some guests might favor the offerings at Rapunzel’s Restaurant.
But the pinnacle of Frozen Kingdom’s charm lies in its exhilarating attraction – Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey. This boat ride whisks visitors through key scenes from the original Frozen film, with an electrifying twist: at certain moments, the boat moves backward, amplifying the thrill and wonder. This unique mechanism, a first in Japan for Frozen-themed rides, ensures the journey is both memorable and heart-pounding.
Frozen Kingdom’s vibrant atmosphere provides a stark contrast to the serene ambiance of Rapunzel’s Forest. But there’s more in store! Next up for exploration is Peter Pan’s Neverland, rumored to house the best ride of all. We can’t wait to share more!
