An urgent alert was issued this week after three young children—two of whom are siblings—vanished during a visit to Thorpe Park, a popular theme park in the UK. The children, identified as Khandi (14), Amelia (9), and Malik (7), were last seen at around 3:17 p.m. on Monday, June 17. Authorities believe the trio might have headed toward Staines, possibly taking a train to London.

Thorpe Park, a favorite destination for thrill-seekers, ranks as the UK’s third most visited theme park, trailing only Alton Towers and Legoland Windsor. Visitors flock to experience its electrifying rides and immersive attractions, but unfortunately, not all visits end in high spirits.

Sources reported the children’s last known whereabouts and offered detailed descriptions to aid in their search. Khandi, described as a slim-built, Black female, was wearing black or grey jogging bottoms and a white top. Amelia, a slim-built, European female, donned grey jogging bottoms and a distinctive long-sleeved top with “Believe” written on it. Malik, a slim-built, European male, wore black jogging bottoms and a green long-sleeved top. Surrey Police urge anyone with information to contact them referencing PR/45240068376.

This unsettling news arrives on the heels of recent challenges for Thorpe Park. Its newest and biggest attraction, Hyperia, had to close twice since its opening on May 24. After undergoing “standard technical pre-opening procedure checks” and reopening on June 12, the ride was shut down again on June 15, stranding guests on the lift hill for an hour.

It’s crucial for families to remain vigilant during park visits, as incidents like these serve as a sobering reminder that while parks are designed for fun, real-world concerns can intrude. Thorpe Park’s policy mandates that children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult, a reminder of the importance of supervision in ensuring everyone’s safety.
