Disneyland Resort Cast Member Nancy Sakurai was honored as a Woman of the Year by the California State Assembly March 14. Sakurai was recognized by Assemblyman Freddie Rodriguez, 52nd District, for remarkable volunteer work in the Chino community, contributing countless hours to various organizations including the Chino Youth Museum, Chino Valley YMCA and Chino Community Children’s Theatre. Sakurai estimates that she and her husband, Disneyland Resort cast member Dave Sakurai, have donated approximately $40,000 to these organizations through cast opportunities to support nonprofits provided by the Disneyland Resort.
In honor of Women’s History Month, female Disneyland Resort executives shared life lessons and career advice with cast members during discussion panels hosted by Disney Ambassadors Jessica Bernard and Allie Kawamoto. The sessions included topics such as work-life balance and challenges facing aspiring businesswomen. Featured on the panels were:
