It’s not every day that aircraft from the Patrouille de France fly over Sleeping Beauty Castle. Disneyland® Paris visitors stared up at the skies over Marne-la-Vallée in amazement. Two French Air Force planes flew over Disneyland Park as part of the celebrations marking the tenth anniversary of the Tout le monde contre le cancer association held on 12 June.
Formed by Nicolas Rossignol in 2005, the association runs 1,000 campaigns every year to improve the daily lives of people living with cancer and their families with the aid of 350 volunteers. Through the work of the Action Citoyenne team, Disneyland Paris is a loyal partner to Tout le monde contre le cancer. For many years now, Disney VoluntEARS have joined up with the association’s Anges Gardiens to make children’s dreams come true, bring theDisney Characters to hospitals and attend major events.

This year, the association decided to celebrate its tenth anniversary at thedestination. 700 children and adults were invited along for the day with the Disney VoluntEARS. There was a private concert for them at Videopolis given by several contestants from The Voice, including Arcadian. “The priority of the Action Citoyenne team is to offer amazing experiences to children and families going through difficult times. We are therefore delighted to support the association by organising this solidarity event”, said Annabel Altmann, Senior Manager Action Citoyenne.
“This incredible day to mark our 10th anniversary has allowed us to join together and brighten up the daily lives of hundreds of families, helping them to forget about the illness!” said Nicolas Rossignol, volunteer chairman of Tout le monde contre le cancer. “With them, thanks to them, more than ever: “Where there’s joy, there’s life!”
The day ended with a lovely tea party outside Sleeping Beauty Castle, where families were joined by celebrities there on the day such as Cindy Fabre, Miss France 2005 and TV presenter Pascal Soetens, who immortalised the moment on his Twitter account.
