The magic of Disney is about to enchant Waynesville, as the Haywood Community Band prepares to kick off its season with a special “Disney Music Magic!” concert. Scheduled for 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, at Long’s Chapel Methodist Church, this free event promises to transport audiences through some of Disney’s most beloved musical moments from the past forty years.
Under the baton of new conductor Stephen Razo, the performance will feature unforgettable tunes from classics like Mary Poppins, Beauty and the Beast, and Frozen, alongside the rousing scores of Star Wars and Pirates of the Caribbean. Celebrating its 22nd year, the Haywood Community Band has evolved into a cherished musical staple in Western North Carolina.
