The Country Bear Jamboree, a beloved staple of Magic Kingdom since its opening in 1971, is set to return this summer with dazzling new updates. Disney has unveiled an exciting transformation for the show, spotlighting fresh costumes and new music. Fans can anticipate a modern twist on an old favorite as Grizzly Hall reopens its doors.
Disney offered a sneak peek into the revamped costumes for Bunny, Bubbles, and Beulah, affectionately known as the Sun Bonnet Trio. The trio has shed their signature turquoise bonnets in favor of vibrant, pink cowboy hats. Decked out in ruffled skirts, rhinestone-studded vests, and flashy wrist cuffs, these singing bears will shine brighter than ever.
Speculations are swirling that Bunny, Bubbles, and Beulah may also sport new facial designs and fur textures, though Disney hasn’t confirmed these changes yet. The reimagined show, now titled the “Country Bear Musical Jamboree,” promises a toe-tapping homage to Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry. With new reinterpretations of Disney tunes, the performance will span genres from bluegrass and pop country to Americana and rockabilly.
Another key update is a name change for one of the main bears. The controversial Liver Lips McGrowl will now stride the stage as Romeo McGrowl. This modern revitalization aims to keep the show engaging and fun for audiences of all ages.
Frontierland is buzzing with activity this summer as it’s not just the Country Bear Musical Jamboree that’s going through a transformation. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is also set to open on June 28, taking the place of the iconic Splash Mountain. The summer is shaping up to be unforgettable for Disney fans.
