Exciting news for Disney fans and thrill-seekers alike: Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is set to open its doors at Walt Disney World on June 28! An enchanting new ride inspired by Disney’s hit animated film, “The Princess and the Frog,” this attraction extends the movie’s story in a delightful and thrilling new way. We were fortunate to have a sneak peek and can confirm it promises to be a must-visit!

Nestled in the heart of Magic Kingdom’s Frontierland, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure takes over the iconic Splash Mountain space. As you embark on this reimagined journey, you’ll traverse through the lush landscapes of a Louisiana bayou, surrounded by cypress trees and draped Spanish moss. The adventure begins in a cool cave-like space where greeters with authentic southern hospitality guide visitors into log boats seating eight riders each.

Once aboard, float through wonderfully illuminated indoor scenes brimming with singing and talking animatronic characters. Guests will encounter beloved figures such as Princess Tiana, the spirited Mama Odie, and Louis, the jazz-loving alligator. As the narrative thrills unfold, the experience climaxes with a heart-pounding 50-foot drop into refreshing waters, leaving riders both exhilarated and eager for another go.

The ride features a mix of brand-new original music and cherished tunes from the film, crafted in collaboration with Grammy Award-winning artists PJ Morton and Terence Blanchard. During the media preview, Anika Noni Rose, the voice behind Princess Tiana, captivated attendees with a live performance of the ride’s new anthem, “Special Spice.” Familiar voices like Bruno Campos as Prince Naveen and Jenifer Lewis as Mama Odie also make their return, adding to the ride’s immersive charm.

After disembarking, be sure to explore the themed merchandise at Critters Co-op and a general store where you can find Tiana-themed mouse ears, unique jewelry, plush toys, Louisiana-style delicacies, and more. The entire experience, from the detailed storytelling to the innovative animatronics and musical score, promises an unforgettable adventure for all ages.
