Excitement is buzzing at Disney as reality TV star Sam Thompson joins the cast of “Inside Out 2”! This thrilling sequel from Disney and Pixar promises more emotional adventures as Thompson lends his vocal talents to the character Security Man Sam.
Thompson, known for “Made in Chelsea,” expressed his joy, saying, “Having watched Pixar films since I was a kid, it’s a dream come true to join the voice cast of ‘Inside Out 2’. The film nods to the rollercoaster of emotions growing up and what a wild ride your teenage years can be. I for one can’t wait to see my family’s reaction to hearing my voice on the big screen.”
The sequel will reintroduce audiences to Riley and the captivating emotions that live inside her mind—Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust. This time, a new emotion named Anxiety, voiced by Maya Hawke, joins the fray. Director Kelsey Mann hinted at Anxiety’s significant role, stating, “She’s not really the type to take a back seat,” which reflects the often overpowering nature of anxiety in our minds.
Returning favorites like Amy Poehler as Joy join new talents such as Liza Lapira, Tony Hale, and Ayo Edebiri. Kensington Tallman steps in as 13-year-old Riley, following Kaitlyn Dias’s original portrayal in 2015.
